Corfu with kids: our best tips for a relaxed family holiday
Corfu is one of those Greek islands that instantly feels green, welcoming and surprisingly diverse. From quiet beaches to charming villages and a lively old town, it’s a destination that works really well for families.
We visited Corfu with our two daughters (aged 8 and 12), and what stood out most was how easy the island feels — nothing is too far, nothing is too complicated, and there is always something new to discover.

Corfu is one of the greenest islands in Greece, which already makes it feel different from many other islands. But what really makes it family-friendly is the combination of variety and accessibility.

- Explore Corfu Old Town
The Venetian-style streets are perfect for wandering around, especially early in the morning or at sunset when it’s less busy.

Some of our favorite family-friendly beaches include Paleokastritsa and Glyfada — both easy to access and great for swimming.
- Boat trip along the coast
A boat trip is a highlight for kids. Hidden coves, clear water, and the feeling of adventure make it one of the best days of the holiday.
- Visit traditional villages
Villages like Lakones or Pelekas offer beautiful viewpoints and a taste of authentic Corfu life.
Our tip for families
Rent a car. Corfu is easy to drive and having your own car gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace — especially with kids.
