The Best Snacks to Try at Disneyland Paris 🍿✨

A delicious guide to the treats worth looking out for during your Disneyland Paris adventure – from Mickey-shaped favourites to seasonal Disney treats.

There are two types of people at Disneyland Paris: those who come for the rides… and those who secretly plan their day around the snacks.

If you’re anything like us, you’ll probably fall somewhere in the middle!

Because while our family definitely has our favourite rides – Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is Evelijn’s absolute number one – some of our Disneyland Paris memories are just as much about the things we ate along the way.

A Mickey-shaped treat, a snack while waiting for a parade or something sweet after a few hours of rides can become part of the Disney experience itself.

And let’s be honest: everything tastes better when it’s shaped like Mickey Mouse.

Obviously. πŸ˜‚

We’ve visited Disneyland Paris several times as a family, and over the years we’ve learned that snacks are worth leaving a little room for in your Disney budget.

So, here’s our guide to some of the best snacks to look out for at Disneyland Paris.

πŸ§‡ 1. Mickey Waffles

If Disneyland Paris had an official comfort food, we’d probably nominate the Mickey waffle.

Golden, fluffy and shaped like Mickey himself, these waffles are the kind of Disney treat that makes children – and quite a few adults – very happy.

Add a little chocolate, cream or another topping and you’ve got the perfect sweet break during a busy day in the parks.

And yes, they’re almost too cute to eat.

Almost.

Travelicious tip: If you spot one when you’re not hungry, remember where it is. You never know when a waffle emergency might strike later in the day!

🍫 2. Churros

Churros are another Disney classic.

Warm, crispy and coated in sugar, they’re particularly good when you’ve been walking around the parks for hours and suddenly someone announces that they are very, very hungry.

Which, with children, can happen approximately three minutes after asking whether they want a snack.

Churros are easy to share, making them a good option when everyone wants something sweet but you don’t necessarily want to buy one treat per person.

And let’s be honest: dipping them in chocolate makes everything better.

🍦 3. Mickey Ice Cream

A Mickey-shaped ice cream is one of those snacks that simply feels like Disneyland Paris.

It’s the combination of the treat, the shape and the setting that makes it special.

Imagine standing somewhere in the park, enjoying an ice cream with the castle in the background.

That’s a Disney memory right there.

Our advice?

Take the photo before the first bite.

Especially when you’re travelling with children. Once that Mickey ice cream starts melting, things can get messy very quickly!

🍿 4. Popcorn

Sometimes the simplest snacks are the ones that become part of the experience.

Popcorn is perfect for sharing while you’re waiting for a parade, taking a break or simply wandering through the park.

And Disney popcorn isn’t just about the food. Depending on what’s available during your visit, themed containers can also make fun souvenirs.

Just be careful.

You might arrive home with a popcorn bucket you absolutely didn’t intend to buy.

And suddenly someone has decided it needs to be displayed in their bedroom.

We know how this works.

πŸͺ 5. Disney Cookies

Sometimes you don’t need an elaborate dessert.

Sometimes you just need a big chocolate chip cookie.

A cookie is also an easy snack to grab when you need a little energy boost but don’t want to stop for a full meal.

They’re particularly useful when travelling with children because you can share one and keep moving.

Although, in our experience, “we’ll share it” doesn’t always work out that way.

🍎 6. Candy Apples

Candy apples are one of those treats that immediately look like Disney.

Colourful, shiny and often decorated with chocolate or other toppings, they’re almost too pretty to eat.

Almost.

They’re also a fun option if you’re looking for something a little different from the usual ice cream or chocolate treat.

Just make sure you have plenty of napkins.

  1. Macarons

You’re in France, so why not combine your Disney experience with a little French indulgence?

Macarons make a lovely afternoon treat, especially with a coffee while the children are enjoying the next attraction.

They’re also a nice reminder that Disneyland Paris isn’t only about American-style Disney food. You are still in France, after all!

πŸŽƒ 8. Seasonal Disney Treats

One of our favourite things about visiting Disneyland Paris at different times of the year is that the atmosphere changes.

And so do the snacks.

Halloween brings spooky treats and themed desserts, while Christmas adds festive goodies and seasonal drinks. Other celebrations can bring their own limited-edition creations.

That’s part of the fun.

🍷 Our winter favourite: mulled wine

When winter is approaching, there is one Disney treat we always look forward to: mulled wine in the Ratatouille area.

For us, this has become a little Disneyland Paris tradition.

After walking around the parks in the cold, there’s something so lovely about getting a warm cup of mulled wine and taking a little break. The atmosphere around the Ratatouille area makes it feel even more special, especially when Disneyland Paris is decorated for the Christmas season.

While the kids are busy choosing their own Disney treats, this is one we definitely don’t mind keeping for ourselves. πŸ˜‰

So if you’re visiting Disneyland Paris during the colder months, keep an eye out for the mulled wine around Ratatouille.

Travelicious tip: This is one of those seasonal treats we’d actually plan into our day. When winter is approaching, we already know we’re going to be looking forward to that warm cup of mulled wine!

You never quite know what you’ll find during your next visit.

Travelicious tip: If you see a seasonal treat that you’ve been looking forward to trying, don’t assume it’ll still be there tomorrow. Some limited-edition treats really are part of the experience of visiting during that particular season.

✨ 9. Character-Inspired Desserts

Disney knows how to make food look magical.

Cakes, cupcakes, mousses and other desserts can be decorated around favourite Disney characters or seasonal themes.

They’re often almost too pretty to eat – although we’ve never let that stop us.

These are especially fun if you’re celebrating a birthday or another special occasion during your Disneyland Paris trip.

🍭 10. Leave Room for Something You Didn’t Plan

This might actually be our most important snack tip.

Don’t plan every single snack.

Of course, it’s useful to know which Disney treats you want to try. But leave a little room in your day for something you simply happen to spot while walking through the park.

Maybe it’s a seasonal dessert you’ve never seen before.

Maybe it’s something Mickey-shaped.

Maybe the children see something in a shop window and suddenly decide that it is absolutely essential to their happiness.

That’s part of the fun too.

Our Travelicious tips for Disney snacking

After several family visits to Disneyland Paris, these are the things we’d keep in mind:

🍿 Share where you can. This means everyone gets to try more things without buying a snack for every person.

πŸ§‡ Don’t fill up too early. Leave some room for the treats you really want to try.

πŸ’§ Keep drinking water. Especially on warm days when you’re walking around the parks all day.

πŸ“Έ Take the photo first. Particularly with melting ice cream and anything covered in chocolate!

πŸŽƒ Look out for seasonal treats. Visiting during Halloween or Christmas can mean completely different food experiences.

πŸ’Ά Include snacks in your Disney budget. The little treats add up surprisingly quickly when you’re travelling as a family.

Planning your Disneyland Paris adventure

Of course, snacks are only one small part of a Disneyland Paris trip.

There’s a lot to think about when you’re visiting with children: where to stay, which attractions to prioritise, when to visit, where to eat and how to make sure you don’t try to do absolutely everything in one day.

We’ve been to Disneyland Paris several times as a family, including when our girls were little, and we’ve learned that a little planning makes the whole experience much more relaxed.

If you’re planning your first family visit, start with our Disneyland Paris with Kids: A Little Bit of Magic, Just Around the Corner. It’s our guide to visiting Disneyland Paris with children and a great place to start before you work out the details of your trip.

And then, of course, come back here and make sure you’ve left some room in your budget – and your stomach – for the snacks!

Are Disneyland Paris snacks worth the money?

Disney snacks aren’t always the cheapest.

But here’s the thing…

You’re not just buying a waffle or an ice cream.

You’re buying that photo of your kids with chocolate all over their faces.

You’re buying the memory of sharing popcorn while waiting for the parade.

You’re buying the excitement of discovering a seasonal treat together.

And sometimes you’re buying the snack that your child will talk about for years afterwards.

For us, that’s what makes Disney food worth it.

It’s not necessarily about finding the cheapest snack.

It’s about finding those little moments that become part of the holiday.

Final bite ✨

Half the fun of Disneyland Paris is discovering little magical moments around every corner.

Sometimes that’s a ride.

Sometimes it’s a parade.

And sometimes it’s a Mickey-shaped waffle that suddenly becomes the most important thing in the world.

But planning a Disneyland Paris trip with kids can also feel a little overwhelming. Which days should you visit? Which attractions should you prioritise? Where should you stay? When should you take a break? And how do you fit everything in without ending up with exhausted children – and exhausted parents?
