How to Install an eSIM on Your iPhone 📱✈️
Getting your eSIM ready before your trip only takes a few minutes—and trust us, it’s much nicer to sort it out from your comfy couch than after landing at a busy airport.

Before you start, make sure you’ve checked these three things:

  • ✅ Your iPhone supports eSIM and is carrier unlocked.
  • ✅ You’re connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. (The eSIM needs to download to your phone, so good internet is essential.)
  • ✅ You’ve already purchased your eSIM through Airalo.

Step 1: Find Your eSIM Details

  1. Log in to your Airalo account.
  2. Open My eSIMs.
  3. Select the eSIM you’ve purchased.
  4. Tap Details.
  5. Choose Install eSIM / Access Data.
  6. Open the Manual tab.
  7. You’ll now see your SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code.

💡 Travelicious Tip: Keep this screen open on another device, or simply write down the details—you’ll need them in a moment.

Step 2: Install Your eSIM Manually
Now grab your iPhone.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data, depending on your region).
  3. Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
  4. Choose Enter Details Manually.
  5. Copy and paste the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from Airalo.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.

That’s it! 🎉 Your eSIM is now installed.

Before You Fly
We recommend installing your eSIM before you leave home, while you still have a reliable Wi-Fi connection.

Most travel eSIMs only activate once they connect to a supported network at your destination, so installing it early won’t usually start your data plan.

Once you’ve landed:

  • Turn on your new eSIM.
  • Enable Data Roaming for the eSIM.
  • Set the eSIM as your mobile data line.
  • Start exploring—without hunting for a local SIM card or worrying about expensive roaming charges.
